Until the development of the common rail system by Bosch there had been little development in diesel fuel delivery systems in decades. Now Diesel Injection pump runs at between 4,300 and 23,000 psi giving the common-rail system better fuel economy, noise reduction and emissions. The higher pressure does make these Diesel Injection Pumps more susceptible to wear and damage than there predecessors. |
